I finally figured it out.....Here is a very short clip of the moment the orphanage director introduced us to our baby girl. We had asked our guide Ting Ting to video tape us but as you can imagine and see/hear, with all the commotion and emotions going on in the room she was also asked to video tape another family too so, unfortunately we have little....but BIG moments of the day captured on video.
It all happened so fast and it was not clear how they would bring the babies in to meet us. As we arrived into the building and took the anxious ride up the elevator we had no idea what to expect. We had to wait in the hallway to allow the other new families to leave the room, then we were asked to go into the room once it was emptly. As we stood in the hallway, a couple of Nannies came out of one room and walked the hallway to calm a couple of babies. We all gasped and I automatically started crying because we all thought "is that my baby?". I had the urge to call out "Lin-Zi" and see if I got a reaction and then would have wanted to sprint down the hall to see her.....but no, I remained calm trying very had to catch my breath.
Once in the room the Official Representative began to speak and quite honestly I'm glad that little clip is on video because I can't remember a thing of what she said. They called out he first baby and as I was anxiously taking their picture, thinking that they would give us time to enjoy their moment, I later heard a very poor pronounciation of Timothy but it did not dawn on me they were calling us. I did hear the often mispronounced Galarza and then Tim called my name. I quickly turned around and there was the orphanage director with this gorgeous chubby baby in his arms standing in front of us. And the first video clip is the first moment she was in my arms.
This is our beginning as a family.
